What you will need:
♥ 2 hair elastics
♥ Styling comb
♥ Hair brush
♥ Hairspray
♥ Bobby pins…you may need lots of these depending on the thickness of your own hair and your hair extensions!
Step 1:
You will need to start this style by using your comb to centre part your hair. If you are going to be wearing your hair extensions for this style you will need to fit these vertically, but on a slight angle. Avoid fitting these too close to your parting or too close to your face for the most concealed and comfortable fit.
Step 2:
Brush through your hair to ensure there are no tangles. Start with the hair on one side and plait/braid this hair, pulling the hair forward, over your shoulder. Make sure you braid this as close to the tips of your hair as you can and secure this with an elastic.
Step 3:
Follow step 2 for the other side.
Step 4:
Now you have your braids in place, you get to be creative and style the milkmaid braid look! Take one of your braids and fold this over your head. It’s best to aim this towards your ear and position the braid along your hairline. Using your bobby pins, you can push these into the braid to hold this in place. If your hair doesn’t quite reach to behind your ear try to pin the loose ends of the braid facing towards the back of your head.
Step 5:
You will now need to do the same thing with your second braid; this needs to be positioned behind your first pinned braid. You can lay this braid over the ends of your first to give a neater look, and once you have pinned this in position, you can tuck the ends of this braid under the first.
Step 6:
Now you have your perfectly polished milkmaid braid held in place with pins, be sure to finish the look with a spritz of hairspray for added hold.
